Hello David,
Perhaps you can help me with the following issue:
I am having an issue with Outlook that started with a corrupt .OST file. This was caused by one of my clients messing with the email account he created for me under his domain. I had added it to my Outlook and it was working without any issues until Friday. That is when he corrupted the file - I'm not sure exactly what he did. Initially all of the emails associated with that account were deleted from Outlook and then they re-populated. At that point my Outlook shut down and I was not able to open it. It generated a message that the .OST file associated with the aforementioned email could not be opened. Researching the issue, I found that the only solution was to use the Registry Edit to delete the Profile and re-configure Outlook. I did that and Outlook opened.
I then reconfigured my personal Gmail account and it re-populated all of my personal/work emails. However, two things occurred: 1) Outlook created a duplicate .OST file of my Gmail address, adding a (2) at the end of the file name; 2) I cannot send any emails. I get the following message:
Task '******@gmail.com - Sending' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'The operation failed. An object cannot be found.'
I have been trying to find out how to restore the original .OST file from last Friday before my client corrupted the folder. I cannot find how to do that in any forums.
Any assistance would be deeply appreciated!
