I am using the New Outlook and when I log in and click on a message and try to view it, I get an access denied message. Yesterday, I was told that I had to log in but I wasn't given that option. Today, I just get an access denied message with no log in recommendation.
I am an Office 365 Home subscriber, using Windows 10. I can get my Outlook messages by loading Outlook through Office 265.

I also have the problem that I can read my email with the new Outlook for a while, but then suddenly appears "Acess Denied". After that I can try and try, but won't be able to login for quite some time.
It is about time that I switch over to Mozilla Thunderbird on this computer as well, as it works well on my other PC. (And on Linux as well as iOS.)
Just happened to me again! When the new Outlook launches, I briefly see the number of unread emails in all 8 of my email accounts, then it immediately switches to show microsoft hotmail account only. All 7 of the other gmail, yahoo, apple, etc. require sign-in. I don't remember the passwords and most of them require an app-specific password.
Microsoft online help could not help other than to reset new Outlook and sign in to all the other accounts again. A Miscrosoft Subject Matter Expert called to say the same thing. They can't (won't) fix it.
I am running Windows PC that does not meet upgrade requirements. I guess that I will have to relearn Apple Mac and give up on Microsoft. At least, Apple can do emails.
Hi Greg
Contacted Francis at MS Support last week and she accessed my PC and saw the problem. She said New Outlook still under development!!! and experiencing problems with Access Denied and use the Mail App. instead until it's sorted out. She didn't say how long this is going on for.
I just go into View on New Outlook and hit sync and emails appear. I can check them by comparing on Mail App and AOL Web Browser.
Mail app will not launch. It immediately switches to new Outlook even though the New Outlook switch button is off. My only workable option is the resource hog of old Outlook.
