I am using the New Outlook and when I log in and click on a message and try to view it, I get an access denied message. Yesterday, I was told that I had to log in but I wasn't given that option. Today, I just get an access denied message with no log in recommendation.
I am an Office 365 Home subscriber, using Windows 10. I can get my Outlook messages by loading Outlook through Office 265.

i seemed to have found the issue for me at least. it was my anti virus that was causing this. i simply turned it off and then opened outlook again and it worked.
but to stop it from happening again I deleted the folder that keeps the reports folder. and restarted and it works with my anti virus on.
Strange enough, it seems to have been FINALLY fixed with last update on 13-Nov-2024! At least, it is 2 days/nights it didn't happen anymore...

EDIT: after 10 days I can say they finally fixed it. On resuming laptop from Sleep/Hibernation Outlook NEW will correctly reconnect, no more Access Denied.
And if we are not dealing with this damn issue, then the latest update sucked *ss, kept me bussy for over half a day to finaly let it update instead of failing every damn time, on top of that it setted my language to another language after update, can't donwload english US anymore, it just wont, and on top of that it logged me out EVERYWHERE.. Thanks microsoft for being such an idiots!
im getting the same issue. with the denied message. it then opens outlook in 2 internet tabs to sign in and just repeats until I get the message on outlook

after trying this a few times I got a quick message popup before it went to the previous message and that is hmmm... can't reach this page. it looks like the webpage at https://outlook.office.com/mail/oobe?nativeversion=1.2024.300&sessionid=( id I don't know if this is personal and links to my account so ill leave that out)ooberedirect=gsaf&loadmoduel=%2fmail%25 might be having issues or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
The new outlook app does not use PST or OST files.
