Access Denied in New Outlook

I am using the New Outlook and when I log in and click on a message and try to view it, I get an access denied message. Yesterday, I was told that I had to log in but I wasn't given that option. Today, I just get an access denied message with no log in recommendation.

I am an Office 365 Home subscriber, using Windows 10. I can get my Outlook messages by loading Outlook through Office 265.

I am another person affected by this problem since last week. The workaround from @JariVolanen did not help. I am currently in a support chat. According to support is a known issue and engineering team is currently working on the solution. Below is the workaround from Microsoft, which did not solve the problem for me.

    Best regards

    Andreas

    Workaround Microsoft:

1: Remove the account from all devices and then add it again.

1: Open the new Outlook and navigate to Settings > Email Accounts.

2: Select Manage for the account you want to remove.

    3. click Remove under the account.

    4. when prompted, select "Remove from all devices" and wait 10 minutes for this process to complete.

    5. close new Outlook

Once Outlook is closed, launch the OneDrive app, sign out and sign in to the OneDrive app on the device.

Restart Outlook and navigate to Settings > Email accounts > Add account.

Enter the email address and then select Next.

Select Next to add the account

When you have finished, check that the problem has been resolved.

    Thanks a lot!

This makes sense, as the new Outlook app is a progressive web app (see e.g. https://www.tigren.com/blog/outlook-pwa/ and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/progressive-web-apps-chromium/) which uses Edge under the hood.

I did that too, plus restarted my PC, and now the new outlook seems to be working again

**It is good to hear that it worked!**😁👍😉

I agree with this. Each time I select a folder or new email, I receive "Access Denied." So I need to keep selecting my name to continue to log in. PS: The instructions on how to troubleshoot are a joke that are on the Microsoft website.

Read my updated text + look the new screenshot (5.4.2024)!
