Access Denied in New Outlook

I am using the New Outlook and when I log in and click on a message and try to view it, I get an access denied message. Yesterday, I was told that I had to log in but I wasn't given that option. Today, I just get an access denied message with no log in recommendation.

I am an Office 365 Home subscriber, using Windows 10. I can get my Outlook messages by loading Outlook through Office 265.

    @David_George:

Some advice for the Independent Advisor…

The new Outlook doesnt use or support PST files, which is one of the many reasons that I and many others have stopped using it.

    My advice:

If you are using Microsoft based email accounts, including Exchange Online, outlook.com or hotmail.com, stay with the old version of Outlook app (as included with Microsoft 365 desktop apps.

If you are using Google email accounts (gmail etc) your best bet is to use Thunderbird, or webmail.

If you are using PST files, or POP, AVOID THE NEW OUTLOOK APP AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Thanx. I believe you could help out a lot of ppl by showing what setting exactly needs to be changed to make Edge sign in on Windows startup. The culprit seems to be right there.

I have already deleted the new outlook app. There are more reasons for me to move to Google, so i'm not gonna spent more time on it :)

Using the new outlook app requires:

    1. Launch Edge
    2. Go into settings
    3. Log in MS account there
    4. Close Edge
    5. Launch Outlook app

This needs to be done at least every day because Edge is logging me off again all the time...

This nonsense has been going on for way too long now. This, and the VERY ANNOYING ads, and all the other **** that MS is trying to shove down my throat has made me decide to move everything over to Google Services. Despite the fact that MS UI is actually better then Gmail app. I was already using Chrome browser so that makes things a little bit easier.

My live.nl MS account has been my primary mail/contacts/calendar account for a very long time, but i'm done with it. It will soon be an empty shell sitting behind Windows doing nothing. It will be completely removed from my Android phone.

Good to read that the error also happens to an environment which includes a microsoft hotmail account, since I refuse to link a live-, outlook- or hotmail account just for the sake of a Microsoft backup or what?
