Not receiving desktop notifications in 'New Outlook'

I have enabled desktop notifications in the New Outlook app. But once I close the app, I don't receive notifications from the app. I have also enabled desktop notifications in the windows settings too. When I open the app, I get notifications of new emails being sent but once I close the app, I don't receive notifications anymore. It is extremely annoying and I have faced this same issue on another device with the same 'New Outlook'. I have faced this for a long time.

I use a Surface Laptop Go with 8GB RAM and
a 10th gen Intel Core i5 with 256 GB storage.
This laptop runs Windows 11 Pro.It was upgarded for Windows 10 Pro recently.

    I had this same issue. After exploring I configured "Focus Assist":

    Disable Focus Assist: Windows has a feature called "Focus Assist" that can suppress notifications during certain times or when running specific apps. Check your Focus Assist settings and ensure it's not blocking the New Outlook app.

    On Windows 10:

    • Search "Focus Assist";
    • Set "Priority Only" -> Customize your priority list;
    • Add an App -> Search for Outlook (new)
    • Select the App

    After doing this, I started to be notified.

    Hope this works for you!

    This is a bug lots of us have been experiencing since around June/July but without lots of upvotes on Feedback Hub, it will never get fixed.

    They use reports and upvotes to find bugs, but as most people don't use it, the bugs never get fixed.

    I haven't had notifications since July and it is now October!

    UPVOTE THESE TO GET THIS BUG FIXED: https://aka.ms/AAmuo0u

    45 votes so far, but need much more before Microsoft take notice as sadly they only fix bugs with lots of upvotes which is why there are so many bugs nowadays.

    And you can make your own report on feedback hub too and I will upvote and share that too.
