I have enabled desktop notifications in the New Outlook app. But once I close the app, I don't receive notifications from the app. I have also enabled desktop notifications in the windows settings too. When I open the app, I get notifications of new emails being sent but once I close the app, I don't receive notifications anymore. It is extremely annoying and I have faced this same issue on another device with the same 'New Outlook'. I have faced this for a long time.
I use a Surface Laptop Go with 8GB RAM and
a 10th gen Intel Core i5 with 256 GB storage.
This laptop runs Windows 11 Pro.It was upgarded for Windows 10 Pro recently.

I just had enough and went and deleted New and reinstalled Old.
I broke MY RULE with this Mail thing: NEVER EVER convert over to something new with windows/microsoft. ALWAYS WAIT TILL EVERYONE ELSE TESTS IT OUT AND SUFFERS.
I'll wait till they fix everything and then force the transfer to New Mail
I had this same problem and it was driving me crazy. I was finally able to fix it by removing the mail account in Outlook, then re-adding it. Now I'm getting notifications.
Its in Focus Assist - I had my turned on. Regardless of notifications, it will silence applications.
Can we just go back to the old outlook?
