I have enabled desktop notifications in the New Outlook app. But once I close the app, I don't receive notifications from the app. I have also enabled desktop notifications in the windows settings too. When I open the app, I get notifications of new emails being sent but once I close the app, I don't receive notifications anymore. It is extremely annoying and I have faced this same issue on another device with the same 'New Outlook'. I have faced this for a long time.
I use a Surface Laptop Go with 8GB RAM and
a 10th gen Intel Core i5 with 256 GB storage.
This laptop runs Windows 11 Pro.It was upgarded for Windows 10 Pro recently.

I finally called Geek Squad. The agent applied some advanced update under updates, then put outlook on high priority in notifications and I'm back in business. Thanks for your help. I wish I could tell exactly what the agent did step by step.
hmm, I'm thinking the problem might be a bit bigger. Firstly, I noticed in my "Start" listing two versions of Outlook and removed one. that's when my problem started with the New-Outlook. Also, and I don't know if this has anything to do with it But, I had a version of Teams and thought it might have something to do with it so I downloaded a new version of teams-both versions were different. Either there are a few bugs here or the interaction doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling The NEW-Outlook and re-installing it, making sure all aspects of "Notifications" were on, Reloaded windows, and no joy..and that's why I'm here....

What you said "another labeled Mail" is about to be replaced by "The New Outlook", “New Outlook” is the trend to become default email application in Windows. So please use "New Outlook", Meanwhile, I think the announcement from Microsoft is helpful that you use it .

Maybe this will help. I have an icon labeled Outlook and another labeled Mail. The one labeled Mail is the one that only one that updated to New Outlook with NO option to go back to Old Outlook. Could this be causing confusion or conflict? And the only notification I received was from One Drive showing me pictures from this day in history.

I did the steps you gave me.
First, The only Outlook listed in step #1 is dated 11/12/2022. That is the date I bought this new laptop. I do not see a newer outlook. I selected or copied it and continued, with step #3 and at restart, the old outlook came up.
Where do I find NEW Outlook?
