Where have the arrows gone on Outlook emails???

When your in an email, there are usually up and down arrows top right on the page, allowing me to scroll to the next/previous email...

They aren't there today, is this a glitch or have Microsoft once again updated the look of Outlook and removed a REALLY useful feature???

    I'm currently using version 2205 (Build 15525.20356). It just updated after a Win10>11 upgrade. Arrows disappeared.

    If you open up a new message, you will see the 'down' caret icon in the lower right of the main toolbar. Click on that.

    You should then see this:

    Click on 'Show Quick Access Toolbar'. You should then see this after it closes:

    VOILA!!!

    You may have to also do this for an existing message. Close it, then they should all open up that way going forward.

    Dear Microsoft....please stop taking the easy way out with all of these canned responses. They're about as helpful as 'Network Troubleshooter' is. 'Read' the issue, find a real solution, then post it. Please. All of your suggestions in the initial response takes the better part of half a day. My solution...about 32 seconds if you dilly-dally.

    I've always had the arrows on my iPhone, but still not on my laptop, where I do most of my email work...

    What is even stranger is that the arrows came back - for a while - and then disappeared again. Then a day later came back again. Why this inconsistency?

    If it is solved, please now return the delete and other icons to their location near the senders name on the left and not at the extreme right!
