Spam emails with no sender address

I use a hotmail email address and I've been getting multiple spam emails a day and they don't have sender addresses. If I try to reply to them, Outlook would tell me the recipient cannot be empty. I also cannot block them since there's no sender addresses to block.

This is getting extremely irritating.

    I knew how to retrieve the real e-mail, but my question is how can theses junk e-mails bypassed Microsoft Anti-Spam Rules ? If i Block a Specific Email, it shouldn’t be able to reach my inbox or junk mail, but, unfortunately that’s what I’m dealing with by the minute. Can a Microsoft Employee contact me so I can get to the bottom of this ?

    This is all there is. There is no sender and no message just the to field and a subject line. Of course I have no intension of trying to view it in the web browser. I had created a filter that worked for a while but now these emails are coming through again.

    Why don't they do anything about the many, many fishing emails coming into our junk folder?

    Because they don't give a toss.

    thats sort of worked for me when I used all emails and selected -except with @ in senders address

    removed 60 emails from my inbox from the past 10 days - to a new junk folder i created to monitor them

    real disgrace that microsoft are not blocking these

    I'm not sure if it helps, but I"ve been noticing almost all of these "no adress" senders actually use the adress : <email AT enews.electrabel.com>

    You can make two rules to rule them out :

    Create a rule with :

    Add condition : From > email AT enews.electrabel.com
    Add action : Delete
    (or, mark as spam)

    Create a rule with :

    Add condition : All messages

    Add action : Delete (or mark as spam)

    Add exception : If mail adress holds an > @

    These two rules should help.

    Feel free to use the 3 dots on the top right corner of the mail (make sure you never click anything in the mail itself),
    and select "Show message as source", there you will be looking for :

    Date : 'the date of sending'To : 'You'

    From : .... (Here you will find the email used)You can also find the IP¨of the sender and trace it back
