Right click paste not working in Outlook 365

This is for accessing a Hotmail account using Chrome, but I think it should apply to other browsers too. I could not paste anything in my email body but could in my subject line. I found that if I went to the Chrome browser settings>>select Privacy and Security>>Site settings>>Additional permissions>> Select Clipboard and added the following address to the Allowed to see your Clipboard>>>https://outlook.live.com:443, I was able to paste again. There is no Save button. I remember clicking on a pop up weeks before without paying much mind and I think it blocked it then.

I searched for Permissions. Said it couldn't find any results.

So I dead ended there.

See my edited original post. Also, you can try to go here and see if the clipboard is blocked. Chrome browser settings>>select Privacy and Security>>Site settings>>Cookies and site data>>See all site data and permissions>>Search for Live.com>>Select LIve.com in the results>>Select Outlook.live.com. You should now see all the permissions for Outlook 365 on the web. You can choose the options you want and for my problem of failing to paste in my emails, I unblocked the Clipboard. There is no Save button. If I block the Clipboard again and try to paste in a new email, nothing happens. So, I know this setting controls that function. You might have to restart Chrome or refresh the site to get the new settings to take effect.

If this fails you can always try the old tried and true key combination to paste, Ctrl-V.

"thanks Ziembam I just clicked on the lock icon, went to the clipboard and turned it off and turned it back on but didn't work, then clicked reset permission then turned on pop up and redirects and the clipboard was back on then it started working."

The lock icon is left of the address bar in Chrome browser, it will change according to the sites you are at. When in the email site, you'll see an option to turn off the clipboard under this icon. There are links there that will take you into the Chrome settings I listed above.

Does anyone have a way to change the new limited right click context menu for Hotmail email body. Evidently, an update has severely limited this menu. It no longer has my favorite link to search Google, after highlighting text in my email, to check spelling and grammar.

I think it copies to the clipboard but Outlook permissions prevent it from accessing or using the copied material in the Clipboard. Copy and Cut should work after you highlight something in the email. Until then, it'll be grayed out.

I found the answer for Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1411533 Very simple, hold down the shift key while you right-click in the message and then you will get the Paste option.

Works all the time.
