Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
Seems like a bunch of us shouting into the wind.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.
However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.
Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.
I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.
All the same results.

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP !!!!
SAME PROBLEM FOR OVER A WEEK.
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. IS NO ONE ADDRESSING THIS ?
WILL IT EVER BE FIXED?
Ron:
Please clarify your message stating that this facility has been dropped.
In particular:
"Sync basics - what you can and cannot sync
You can sync your Outlook data with mobile devices and with other applications. Outlook also syncs regularly with Microsoft Exchange account accounts and e-mail accounts. The descriptions below provide details about how Outlook syncs information."
Ron, it is not enough just to state the facility has been withdrawn. You must give a source.
Ron,
You still have not replied to my request for clarification on your post stating that this facility has been dropped:
"The connected accounts feature has been dropped."
You surely have not just made this up - so where is your Microsoft source? The web address please.
It would be better for you not to post such a statement if you cannot give any source.
I have tested email retrieval via POP3 through Outlook.com again today (Tuesday, 1st March); it still works.
That does not suggest the facility has been withdrawn.
However the sync pane is still not available.
I repeat my original message below:
