Outlook.com "Sync Email" settings - "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later."

I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.

However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.

Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.

I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.

All the same results.

Questions:

  1. can I use Gmail sync using free version of Outlook.com?
  2. do you know this

    Same issue.

    Microsoft removing the ability to connect new accounts to Outlook is one thing, I can accept that even if I don't love it, but not even being able to remove the accounts I previously had connected is quite frustrating. The daily emails from Microsoft reminding me to 'Please update my credentials' are wearing a little thin.

    Yes, especially as the solution they give will never work. I changed the passwords on all my accounts so that I could stop email landing in Outlook and migrate my email. That’s been problematic too as Outlook is now duplicating all the migrated folders.

    I've been using Outlook desktop client on my PC for years to send & receive from my Hotmail account. Somehow, my Outlook desktop client has my tasks (575), notes (40), & calendar (events for 365 days/year) tied into my Hotmail account.

    A few days ago my Outlook desktop client stopped fetching Hotmail emails, & my calendar, notes, & tasks weren't being updated on outlook.com from my desktop Outlook PC app (where I use it the most).

    I got a message "unable to connect to server" or something like that.

    Today I deleted my Hotmail account on my desktop Outlook PC client, thinking I could add it back & it would work.

    Disaster! Now my calendar, notes, & tasks are all blank on my desktop Outlook PC client, although they are still visible on outlook.com, last updated a few days ago.

    I tried to add my Hotmail account back to the Outlook desktop PC client but it doesn't work. I thought maybe I had to changed the online settings in outlook.com under sync email, but it only says "Unable to load."

    Now I'm stuck.

    Hi I am facing the same problem the past few days. I want to access the sync email page in order to allow IMAP and the page is showing "unable to load these settings. Please try again later"

    I have tried on my laptop and also tablet, this is obviously a problem with outlook.com.

    Has anyone a solution to this or are there any agents from Microsoft reading this thread?
