Outlook.com "Sync Email" settings - "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later."

I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.

However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.

Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.

I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.

All the same results.

Questions:

  1. can I use Gmail sync using free version of Outlook.com?
  2. do you know this

    Ive been on paid 365 forever…and i have this problem and get the daily mails and the cant load settings message. I don’t think the paid vs not version matters.

    I am having the same issue with the "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later." under the Sync Email settings. So I followed the instructions above, eventually just decided to sign up for the Microsoft 365 Subscription, and yet I continue to get this error message and cannot sync one of my Gmail accounts.

    I am continually getting emails every day that tell me I need to "Update the credentials" for that Gmail mailbox, and yet there is no way to do so because the Sync Email settings do not work.

    Also, the link Add your other email accounts to Outlook.com (microsoft.com) **** is extremely unhelpful and useless because it directs you to a separate page that has limited information and where you are then directed to "Add Account", which just takes you back to your main Outlook mailbox and nothing else.

    Stuck in this state for months. I have multiple accounts being synced to outlook.com, and everyday I receive emails to fix my settings, while the settings page doesn’t load.

    I am a premium MS 365 user, and I am not quite sure why I decided to pay MS for this broken service. Should have just stuck to google.

    I have the same issue.

    I want to remove a synchronization, but am unable to get to the configuration. I also gets the "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later." error.
