Outlook.com "Sync Email" settings - "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later."

I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.

However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.

Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.

I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.

All the same results.

Questions:

  1. can I use Gmail sync using free version of Outlook.com?
  2. do you know this

    I also got the same problem.

    I did change some aliases on my Microsoft account a few days before it started happening (not sure if it is related).
    Changing browsers did nothing.
    Also, I noticed that when I select the Sync Email settings, there is a request a 500 response code.

    I believe the problem is actually that I removed all my connected accounts that used to be able to add on these settings, but there was no option to add them again. Now they are null(?)

    Same problem here,

    I never synced with Gmail or had any POP3 accounts configured.

    When I click Sync email from within Outlook I get Unable to load these settings. Please try again later

    I cannot even close the page when I am in this tab.

    I am not a 100% sure but I think this issue cropped up after I switched from an @outlook.com address to another primary alias (non @outlook.com) address.

    Is not longer available also to check POP3 mails?

    I have a pop3-smtp account (not a Gmail) that I would like to check from Outlook.com. Is this feature still available?

    Why I am also having the same error?

    I am having difficulty with adding my Hotmail account and my school outlook account to my phone. I have submitted several requests for assistance and have not received a reply or a phone call. I keep getting a message saying a security code was sent to the alternate email. However, I haven't received the security code. What is going on? This is very frustrating.
