Outlook.com "Sync Email" settings - "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later."

I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.

However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.

Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.

I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.

All the same results.

Questions:

  1. can I use Gmail sync using free version of Outlook.com?
  2. do you know this

    I can get to the Sync email settings as of today.

    I have not made a primary alias change recently.

    And now my sync email setting is loading again! It looks like you were right with your new primary email alias idea.

    I used both the browser outlook.com as well as Outlook Desktop.

    Mine is randomly working again on my laptop. I didn't do anything. Good luck, all!

    I know it's early days, but I added a new Outlook email alias and made it the primary email alias 2 hours ago, but the sync email settings still do not load.

    I shall monitor over the coming days.
