Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
Chris, as you say, the problem is NOT on your system; its at Outlook.com
You can test your sync'd accounts, send a test email to them and see if it is retrieved by Outlook.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I am using the free version of Outlook.com and followed the forums and help how to set up a GMail sync to Outlook.com.
However since two days I got this clicking on the "Sync Email" menu.
Even the X button on the upper right corner does not operates when being in this menu.
I tried this menu in browsers like Edge, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera.
All the same results.

Hello All,
I have had this same problem for about 10 days now regarding not being able to get to the Sync email section of the Settings.
As some of the previous responders to this thread have stated I get the same message as is on the screenshot above - unable to load these settings please try later - that has been multiple times every day for the last 10 or more days.
I get regular Email messages about checking my settings for various Email accounts / addresses that I have syncronised with my Outlook Email account, something like - please check your credentials for a particular account / address as we do not have permission to access / have not been able to get email - words to that effect.
As Members will know I then have to go and check the details by going to Settings - Email - Sync email- usually there is no problem when I check but I have ocassionally had to Edit / reapply the Email account details and click refresh to get the syncronisation working again.
Having read the other posts on this thread I feel sure that this problem is not something that my Computer has caused.
I hope that this can be resolved as I have gotten used to accessing all of my Email accounts through my Outlook Email account.
My Regards, Chris
