Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Good afternoon, Jason,
In reply to your enquiry of 15^th^ July: ~
- Windows 10 Pro; Version 22H; Build 19045.3208
- Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016
- Outlook 2016 MSO Version 2306; Build 16.0.16529.20100 32bit
Let me mention the following, strange, event: ~
- I also have a mini laptop loaded with the same Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Professional 2016 systems, but only used whilst on holiday.
- The strange Outlook messages began appearing in my desktop computer at the beginning of July but, as previously reported couldn’t be removed via “Start-up Options” – since there were no dropdown panels.
- Out of curiosity I opened my laptop (last used in March 2023) and found within Outlook at File>Options>General> Start-up Options ~ the dropdown list as illustrated within the Diane Poremsky web page, with the option to cancel the reopening of previous items!!
- I chose this option and ~ although the drop-down menu has since disappeared from ***“***Start-up options” I no longer receive the annoying messages when opening Outlook on my mini laptop, unlike when using my desktop computer.
It would appear that my “un-updated” version of Outlook on the mini laptop did include the Start-up options ----------- before being updated within hours after I began using it again!
All very strange, but I do appreciate your attempts to resolve the issue
