My default save location when saving documents from Word/Excel/Outlook is on network folder via folder redirection for Documents and Desktop. When i switch to new experience interface and try to save email attachment from Outlook it's trying to open the shared folder via port 80 instead SMB file share which cause an pop up display Connecting: Trying to connect to: \fileserver\share...

If I manually change the default save location to point on some local folder and then navigate to the file share via "save as" dialog it browse the shared folders normally and open the network shares normally. Also if i disable the new experience switch and return to the old interface of outlook it works ok. This problem is observed only in the New experience interface for all Office products (word/excel/outlook) when the default save location is pointing to the network share.

Same here. My "Save As" is fixed now and I see NO MENTION of it in the Current Channel notes. Very odd.
i just tested the latest current channel update on two win10 devices. works for us now, no more long-loading progress bars while trying to save attachments in outlook.

Yes, I found that log also in the Beta channel. And in nov 10 with Build 15831.20078 in Current channel Preview. But no mentions of this fix in current channel from what I can see? Latest release in current channel is dec 06. And no mentions under Office Suite. So from what I can see still no solution for those in Current channel?

Notable fixes
We fixed an issue where a status message would appear and remain on the screen for several minutes when trying to save Office files or Outlook attachments to a network shared location.
I see 2211 is released in current channel, but can't seem to find the fix for DFS saves in changelog? We got tired of waiting and implemented the .reg fix where you set default save location in outlook to H: or any non UNC DFS path. Hopefully Microsoft release the fix soon, so we can get back to the default behavior, but this solves it for now.
