Outlook New Experience update - network save location bug

My default save location when saving documents from Word/Excel/Outlook is on network folder via folder redirection for Documents and Desktop. When i switch to new experience interface and try to save email attachment from Outlook it's trying to open the shared folder via port 80 instead SMB file share which cause an pop up display Connecting: Trying to connect to: \fileserver\share...

If I manually change the default save location to point on some local folder and then navigate to the file share via "save as" dialog it browse the shared folders normally and open the network shares normally. Also if i disable the new experience switch and return to the old interface of outlook it works ok. This problem is observed only in the New experience interface for all Office products (word/excel/outlook) when the default save location is pointing to the network share.

    The user files are stored via folder redirection to the network share and the windows sync center take care of sync documents/desktop to that personal share folders. It works like that more than 15 years and only after the last update of Microsoft Office it start to try to connect to that shares via HTTP like it's SharePoint instead or DAV instead of using the SMB protocol. So it's defined some kind of bug in the new version of Microsoft Office (new experience).

    Sadly still NOT fixed in 16.0.15726.20000. Been suffering since June!

    Our company has multiple clients that are all in the same boat. Have confirmed that a roll back to 2205 resolves the issue. Has MS acknowledged this bug yet?

    Are there any news on when this will be made available in the Current Channel Production? Changing the default save path in registry seemed to work, but since a patch is soon to come we chose not to go on with this option and wait for the fix. So an ETA would be very helpful in deciding if we should deploy a reg-fix or continue to wait for the patch.

    This is a bug.

    Even if the default location is on local disk, if you save an attachment file to a network share, and save another attachment it goes to the previous used location and it appears the "Trying to connect to:\network location".

    Several computers on diferent networks with same issue after updating to 16.0.15330.20266.

    It seems that for now the only option is to revert to previous release of office.
