My Facebook was hacked and the email address changed without my consent. How do I get it back?

My Facebook was hacked, and the email address was changed to s*****************@hotmail.com and my original two email addresses were deleted from the Profil. How can you help me to log in again, or find out the email address that’s being used for MY Facebook account, so that I can gain it back or take legal actions against the hacker???

Hi, so getting my account back wasn’t that easy. I had to send in my ID twice, to verify it’s me. Trying to log in from a browser that I had precise used helped. While it took some time for them to actually send me a verification code, the hacker put down a second email address. I was able to remove them once I got access again.

I went to the forgot my password page when logging in and clicked no longer have access to these, then I was asked for my ID & I believe to describe the reason for verification. It took like 4 or 5 days to get back into it the account and set up two factor verification, but the sending in my ID & proving it’s me was the way to go, as there’s no direct way of contacting Facebook with this issue.

    What id did you upload, should be an id provided by by Govt or in your Country's Public Reputed Organizations. Read the requirements provided in FB help section. Anyways did you add an already saved id? Make sure to upload by live photo capturing of ID not the saved ones as in Reddit many got response by trying this way and I hope 30 days are not over.

    It has been 2 weeks......I get the email that my ID was received but I never get the email with the instructions.

    Did you upload it by clicking live or an already saved copy? If you did it live and still they don't acknowledge your identity then try passport front page by live clicking.

    And also if you have the device from where you generally used to log in then that's an added advantage.

    Make sure to use the browser for all this (the whole process) and not the App- this point has been critical for some.
