My Facebook was hacked and the email address changed without my consent. How do I get it back?

My Facebook was hacked, and the email address was changed to s*****************@hotmail.com and my original two email addresses were deleted from the Profil. How can you help me to log in again, or find out the email address that’s being used for MY Facebook account, so that I can gain it back or take legal actions against the hacker???

Hi, so getting my account back wasn’t that easy. I had to send in my ID twice, to verify it’s me. Trying to log in from a browser that I had precise used helped. While it took some time for them to actually send me a verification code, the hacker put down a second email address. I was able to remove them once I got access again.

I went to the forgot my password page when logging in and clicked no longer have access to these, then I was asked for my ID & I believe to describe the reason for verification. It took like 4 or 5 days to get back into it the account and set up two factor verification, but the sending in my ID & proving it’s me was the way to go, as there’s no direct way of contacting Facebook with this issue.

    This means due to some reason your driving license would not be considered as an evidence for your identity. There could be various reasons for that depending on the country. Don't waste time and try other id proofs - government or global (IDs that carry much more weightage than Driving License- ex - Income Tax cards- in India its known as PAN card or Passport- the ultimate ID or any govt id which carry the same level of weitage as a passport in your Country).

    You now know that your driving license would not work, so do not waste time trying to figure out that why was it not accepted and be sure that it would never be accepted in future as well, no matter how legitimate it is. So, keep trying with other ids and dive into the internet to find Issues similar to your's and keep collecting information. Maybe, you are able to succeed finally..You never know.

    In the end if nothing succeeds, You wouldn't have any regrets for not trying.
