New outlook - order of email accounts

I have multiple email accounts linked to my outlook login, some for work, volunteering and some personal for me and family.

Since 'upgrading' to the new version, I have loads of 'favourites' which I never use and the order of the accounts is not how I want them. I can see how to change your primary but not how to sort the list to change the order top to bottom. Also can I remove the favourites as I don't use them, or even hide?

    This seems to be the advice given to change the order of email accounts in the new Outlook but it is not working for me. The account name when clicked and held is not highlighting and cannot be moved. Surely, there has got to be an alternative. Help, please. TIA

    Only solution is to delete and readd in the order you want, which is horrible imo

    Another option is to double click on the account within the navigation pane, then go to manage accounts, then it will show you a list of all your accounts. You can then click into each account and choose as "primary account" which will kick it to the top. If you only have 2 accounts then your problem is solved on the first go around. If you have more than two accounts then you would need to pick "primary account" in reverse order for how you want them to appear. Repeat until the last account you choose is going to be the one on top.

    Didn't work for me. I made each one primary in reverse order, but the order in new Outlook remained arbitrary and didn't follow my order.
