Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
What a pain. Outlook really stinks. Do you have another recommendation for email to get away from OUTLOOK and them forcing me to use it.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have multiple email accounts linked to my outlook login, some for work, volunteering and some personal for me and family.
Since 'upgrading' to the new version, I have loads of 'favourites' which I never use and the order of the accounts is not how I want them. I can see how to change your primary but not how to sort the list to change the order top to bottom. Also can I remove the favourites as I don't use them, or even hide?
Thanks
Bill

There are many email options. For a free desktop version you might try.
Mozilla Thunderbird. It's too bad Microsoft is so near sighted that they can't see how awful the New Outlook is. But that's what happens when you're in it for the $$!
Hope this helps.
It's annoying you can't drag and drop but I did work around this by removing my accounts, and adding them back in in the order I wanted them to appear.
The only downside is that I have one account now that Outlook says is already included (but it's not visible) - ironically it's my personal @outlook.com email address that I really only use for licensing, but funny that it won't let me add that one back in to the Outlook client. I don't have that problem in Outlook for iPhone, so am not sweating it.
If you only have TWO accounts..
This "answer" has been repeated 1000 times in the thread.
It's clear by now that there's a drag and drop issue...
Please don't keep offering this as the Holy Grail...
If you have three, four of five accounts (as I do..) This is a hopeless and repeated, and repeated, and repeated was of time...
I've a problem in that Thunderbird will get the emails for one of my microsoft accounts but not the other one . The second account gets this error https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1399126
The other works fine in Thunderbird - I have tried a lot of reconfiguration , which is not pertinant here, but with no resolution so I can't use thunderbird
So Microsoft have no admission they have a problem in new outlook and the error in Thuderbird is archived
For the new outlook I also have one account now that outlook says is already included (but it's not visible) as per George Breeden - so I;m stuck with classic outlook
