New outlook - order of email accounts

I don't understand why people continue to offer this answer as a fix. This DOES NOT work on the new versions of OUTLOOK. It hasn't worked since 2022.

This solution does not work. I have 3 accounts and wanted to change the priority email. I think I found the solution.

I clicked on the the 3 dots>manage account>select the account>select manage >select set as priority account.

Microsoft has been leading the OS platform and additional software for many decades, And they do have some great application software. One thing that comes to mind is: how does Microsoft know if a new idea will be the friend of users, will it perform in a way the end user wants or how efficient is this new way concerning work flow. They have no way of knowing unless they ask us or we tell them. How is this to be concluded? Most tech companies put out their product or software to let the public debug. These companies rely on feedback from the public in order to change the way the product feels and works.

We are certain there is or will be a priority to this prolonged change. Certain aspects of the way the product works will get the remedied long before some other functionality. We have read the transition to the New Outlook will not fully happen until 2029. We have; they have, a long way to go to make this right for everyone.

Microsoft did take out some immensely important functionality, the New Outlook does not support exporting or importing of "pst" files, probably the number one hit on the list, sorting, having favorites up top of the list and so on. We are having the same hard time adjusting to this New Outlook as many other users.

I addition to this we recently migrated to a new PC that has Windows 11 Pro as the OS. The difference in our old computer and this new OS is dramatic to say the least. There is more lost functionality in this new version of Windows than anyone can dream. However in these new OS's and applications we are seeing more and more functionality put in. Pretty intense stuff if you are a software coder.

The bright side of all this: we have seen on a daily basis pop-up dialog boxes asking for user feedback. Please fill out these feedback forms, the more we can let Microsoft know about how we want to use a program the faster it will change.

We will be patient. Work arounds come faster with a positive outlook.

Easy solution here. Delete the email accounts. Add them back in, in the order you want to see them. All the settings and passwords are saved for you, easy to add them back in.

This works, thank you. However, all of my IMAP emails did not save passwords or settings.

How ridiculous to have 10 pages to read through to try to avoid having to delete and re-add every email and it ends up being the only option.
