New outlook - order of email accounts

I have multiple email accounts linked to my outlook login, some for work, volunteering and some personal for me and family.

Since 'upgrading' to the new version, I have loads of 'favourites' which I never use and the order of the accounts is not how I want them. I can see how to change your primary but not how to sort the list to change the order top to bottom. Also can I remove the favourites as I don't use them, or even hide?

Thanks

Bill

And two years on there is still no real solution - accounts appear in the navigation pane in the order they are entered and there is no way to reorder them for the convenience of the user.

I came across this thread when searching for a solution to this relatively mild irritant. I have resisted migrating to the new Outlook for a number of years simply because I have been using offline folders (pst files) to manage historic emails that I wish to retain. But last week new Outlook was foisted upon me by a Microsoft 365 update that deleted classic Outlook from my PC - so there's no going back (despite there being a "Go to classic Outlook" button!

New Outlook is very pretty but functionally very poor. A retrograde step from Microsoft who clearly don't care for their customers at all ...

Again, that is what worked for me. I'm not sure how it will work for anyone who reads this.

Let me know if this helped anyone, keen to know who scrolls to page 12 of a support forum.

Thanks! It worked just the same. Phew.

Reading your post I decided to use the delete and re-add method that I dreaded doing because I wasn't sure how troublesome this will be - it was also smooth luckily and loaded fast. Until now I wasn't THAT annoyed with the order to risk full startup again. XD
As for who reads 12 pages - I read the first one, and then tried checking the last two-three ones for any solution or workaround, as I didn't know if re-adding will be painful or not... Lucky to read someone did it and reported how easy it was :)

PS. Sad that we have to use a workaround, which can be annoying and time consuming if you have many accounts and need a new important one on top...and have to reorder one by one... I wonder why it's not there in 2025?

I hope it'll be back with some update, cause dang...

Thanks but still, if you have another account you want to be added on the top, you're screwed.

I would really fire the team who was responsible for this.
