New outlook - order of email accounts

I have multiple email accounts linked to my outlook login, some for work, volunteering and some personal for me and family.

Since 'upgrading' to the new version, I have loads of 'favourites' which I never use and the order of the accounts is not how I want them. I can see how to change your primary but not how to sort the list to change the order top to bottom. Also can I remove the favourites as I don't use them, or even hide?

Thanks

Bill

It just doesn't - new Outlook is very pretty but not very good.

The advice given in George's post from 2023 refers to the behaviour of classic Outlook ...

New outlook doesn't let me select the account when I click on the left arrow!

    What would cause this?

If M$ cared they'd have done something to resolve the issue within the past two years - it's hardly rocket science.

The is no 'solution' - there is an ugly workaround that involves removing and readding accounts in the order we want. That said, it's not too hard - I've done it on one device but have yet to do so on the other.

New Outlook is NOT just a facelift of 'classic' Outlook - it's a reimplementation of a subset of the functionality provided by classic Outlook. And that was fine - Microsoft implied that the missing functionality would be added at a later date and, meanwhile we could continue to use classic Outlook instead. Last week they removed that as an option for me.

So, I am a rather unhappy customer that sees M$ as a rather uncaring company ...

    As you say, sheesh!

How do you know they don't care? Sheesh people

There is a solution. They didn't include it explicitly in the ew outlook but it's not that hard, and New Outlook is just a facelift. You too can do this!
