I have multiple email accounts linked to my outlook login, some for work, volunteering and some personal for me and family.
Since 'upgrading' to the new version, I have loads of 'favourites' which I never use and the order of the accounts is not how I want them. I can see how to change your primary but not how to sort the list to change the order top to bottom. Also can I remove the favourites as I don't use them, or even hide?

I don't understand why people continue to offer this answer as a fix. This DOES NOT work on the new versions of OUTLOOK. It hasn't worked since 2022.
Apparently drag and drop in a UI is a new concept for Microsoft.

To change the order of email accounts in Outlook, you can follow these steps: ( source: https://www.lifewire.com/change-account-order-o... *)
- Open Outlook and collapse all the accounts so that only the account names are visible. To collapse accounts, select the arrow to the left of the account name.
- Click and hold the account you want to move and then drag the account up or down to a different position.
- Close and reopen Outlook. The email accounts are sorted in the order you set.
this doesn't work. : click hold and drag doesn't work
I dread when the make the change go permanent. I have a ton of old email messages that I can't bring over to the new outlook. I use these in response to new activity that needs rederence to old data as a starting point.
They really have made this a potential business disaster.
