    Wow, really? Did I say I wanted to access my mail while offline? That may have been true in the dial-up days, but that shipped sailed over 20 years ago. We want the mail to be available in outlook as soon as it's on the server. I shouldn't see mail on my phone, then have to wait for however long until Outlook decides to retrieve it. We want a send/receive or a sync now button. Windows mail has it, why doesn't outlook? This has absolutely nothing to do with being online or offline. Typical for Microsoft... one step forward and two steps back.

    I've already left feedback for this and the many other issues we're faced with as we're slowly forced to use Outlook. The concerning thing is that the icon no longer says "pre." It now says "new," which tells me it's now a production build. Until, I can force a sync, I will just use Gmail for all of my email. They don't have a problem syncing with Yahoo. Chrome or Edge , Google Maps or Bing, and now Gmail or Outlook? I see a disturbing pattern here, and MS should as well.

    My response from microsoft is the new beta outlook 360 is online only. No need for send receive as everything is real time. Also means ALL offline features are not available until the new offline version comes out. I really like the new version and the slider at the top easily and quickly switches between versions. JUST REMEMBER TO SWITCH TO OLD AND DOWNLOAD if you are getting on a plane or need to use offline.

    That is correct - offline use is planned but its a beta and a lot of features are missing right now.

    Unified inbox not yet supported in the new outlook.

    Remove the gmail account - when it asks to delete from the app or everywhere, choose everywhere.

    Next, close the new Outlook, open the Run command (Windows key + R) and type or paste this command line. Note, there is a space before the two dashes -- and yes, you use two dashes.

    olk.exe --clearLocalState

    This deletes your profile and when you open the new Outlook, you'll need to add your account. Add additional accounts from the Settings dialog.
