Where is the send and receive button in outlook (New Outlook for Windows)

In the "New Outlook" desktop version, the "Send/Receive All Folders" button has been replaced by a new feature called "Sync This Folder." To synchronize all folders, including your inbox, sent items, and other folders, you can follow these steps:

* Click on the "Send/Receive" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen. (I can't. It's gone!

* Click on the "Sync This Folder" dropdown menu.

* Select "All Accounts" to synchronize all folders for all of your email accounts, or select a specific email account to synchronize folders for only that account.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but didn't you just explain how the send/receive button was replaced by a new feature called "Sync This Folder."? So, how do we get to "Sync This Folder" if the "send/receive" button is gone, like you said it was? So, please tell me how to go about refreshing my email by syncing, without hitting the "send/receive" button?

I made changes on web site, i'm 30-40 mins waiting and nothing happening.

How can I force a Sync?

How can I see status?

How can I KNOW that its up todate without having to goto web to check?

Seems like a basic functionality of a email client.

There is no send / recieve when you use exchange accounts. Messages are sent immediately (unless you use send later).

The new Outlook - aka Outlook Pre - is basically Outlook on the web in a desktop frame. It uses the same REACT code used for Outlook on the web. There is no send / recieve button there either.

Wow, this is pointless. This happens with gmail as well. The question remains....

Quite agree. It assumes a universal capability or need across the global user base. Also the add account settings have not been improved since windows NT.

For all the talk of UX in these big corps they can't get basic undergrad level functionality on a standard app. Bloody embarrassed is what they should be. They'll probs have to have several months of meetings about this, followed by a "sprint" where some actual work might get done to fix the problem. But don't hold your breath.
