I have a new MBP M1, with fresh Monterey. I moved my data with the assistant from the old MBP, I have all the letters in Outlook (v15.46), but search in Outlook not works, it gives a "No results found" message in all folders. Old methods for reindex Spotlight is not working (eg. add and remove Main Profile to Spotlight). How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Today I deleted the Main Profile, remove all mail accounts, and made a new profile, and add a mail address. But the search still not works.

This is not a solution, but maybe it may help someone or progress the case in some way.

I have been "punting" while this debacle is supposedly in the process of being resolved.

That is, I have been searching in Finder to find certain emails as the need arises.

However, I noticed that, if I click on an email file in the Finder search results and Outlook opens the email, then Outlook will then be able to see & find that email in the Outlook search results. I then tried opening 64 emails all at once and that also worked in terms of adding more search results in Outlook.

Unfortunately, for some reason, these Outlook search results seemed to show up only while I had my search word typed in Outlook. After I deleted the search word, the results disappeared as expected, but would not reappear when the same search word was re-typed. Very strange.

I am not sure how this tidbit might be exploited as even a temporary work-around. Maybe it will help to find a certain email since the preview will at least be visible as long as the results are still showing.

I finically got solution. If you are using Office 2019, hit the button that says new Outlook. Your files will migrate and the search function will work. 👍👍👍

As far as I can tell MS has shut down. Not responding to support. That's what I do if my customer's have a problem, crawl in a hole, NOT!

Rebecca: Why didn't you advise there is a known problem when the search function when the new Mac OS Monterey 12.1 was pushed down?

After reading the comments it appears the new Outlook will allow searches. New Outlook does not automatically fill the To: field. Also the contact list does not populate, and the contact card function does not work.

What is the honest answer to these issues?
