Hi,

I have been receiving an email about resetting my Microsoft password so far today i received 6 messages with the code to reset. This email has not been open in awhile, however i do have it linked to my phone for easy accessibility to emails.  How do i get the emails to stop.

There are things that can be done. For example, if all these password resets are coming from single IP address for lots of different accounts, to block that IP. Of course, it goes deeper than just IPs since you can have distributed bots etc, but there are ways, with AI/machine learning, that you could block people from being able to reset their password (for some time). There will be signatures to the requests (maybe lack of referrers etc), or times when they're sent out - all at once, or suspiciously regularly.

There are ways to solve it. They're not easy though, but possible.

I too have been getting these pass code from Microsoft I get roughly 4 a day and have non stop for over two weeks now. I have tried to contact Microsoft but no luck with that!

How did look at people's ip address and see where they tried to log in from? Do you have a url? I figured someone is trying to hack my account and trying so many passwords a day so I went and made a password with 20 characters lol. That should take them a couple thousand years to crack.... Well with today computer speed anyway.

I have been getting these too. The account that is being probed is not my main account but a burner account that I have had for years. I'd like to change the password to a more secure one, but unfortunately, the hackers have hit it too many times and I have to wait.
