this is my view in the "Day" tab. the blue time bar has disappeared. the one that advances with the current time.
In the week view, the blue line is there but it extends across previous days but not to the current one or future dates.
anyone know how to fix this?

This "new 'current time' indicator" is a bug, not a feature because it does not do its job - it is not showing current time. It is an old Microsoft tradition - if something is right - it has to be broken or disabled. Please say I am not right and this bug is going to be fixed.
The point of the timeline should be to show me where I am "timewise" for TODAY, not earlier in the week. It should really only show on the current day. but i can see it is somewhat helpful if it extends.
But to remove it from today (as MS has done) doesn't seem to make sense.
I use it as a "quick timecheck" for how long it is to my next call, or how much of the meeting time is left. the "end of the ball" Ux is not really doing what is needed.
Please return the line to TODAY.
I'm now working for some months with the new Office Desktop app. Everytime I do something with the calendar I see the bar - which is more/stronger visible than the current day background color - and I'm looking at the wrong day.
I would also leave a vote for a change.
Please make the line at least including the current day.
Just got this update at work too and even after seeing that nothing has changed in a year, I still want to leave my vote here that this should be changed! It's confusing and annoying!
Well I have just got the update I guess, and this time marker has completely thrown me. I spent ages trying to find the right setting only to discover after reading the replies, its nothing to do with them. I am at a loss to understand how come this has not been fixed.
