this is my view in the "Day" tab. the blue time bar has disappeared. the one that advances with the current time.

In the week view, the blue line is there but it extends across previous days but not to the current one or future dates.

anyone know how to fix this?

I agree they have not fixed it. I have not see an attempt to do so.

Due to my work I managed to reach into Microsoft management and raised the concern about this bug in writing.

The the written response was "its not a bug, it's designed to do this."

Since Outlook web and Outlook desktop apps behave different (the web version works perfectly) one of the two interfaces must have a bug - no matter how Microsoft tries to argue this.

For whatever reason, they are failing to recognise this problem and failing to listen to Customers and failing to act. Pretty poor.

I suspect their support agents are outsourced and can only see the "working" Outlook for Web version.

Which update fixed this issue? My company does not immediately push updates out and I would like to know which one to request.

It's a disgrace that this has not been fixed - there is now eight pages of replies detailling that this is a bug and debunking the claim that it is a feature, but apart from the initial reply (on the same day of the question, commendable) no further engagement from MS/MVPs.
