My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.

I get the following message when I try and log in:

Your account has been locked.

We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

Unlocking your account

To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.

I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:

This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.

We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.

All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.

Sincerely

Microsoft Customer Protection

I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

I have the exact same problem.

My account was locked 12 days ago and i am still unable to log in or access any of my emails etc.

I replied to the first email asking why my account had been locked.

I received no reply untill 3 days ago when i received  the following:

    Hi,

Microsoft disabled access to the account due to a serious violation of the Microsoft Services Agreement https://www.microsoft.com/servicesagreement/default.aspx#3_codeOfConduct.

As stated in the Microsoft Services Agreement, you will no longer be able to access any Services that require a Microsoft account.

For any subscriptions associated with the account, Microsoft will immediately cease charging the credit card on file for recurring charges.

I have looked at the Microsoft services agreement and i do not believe i have violated any of the terms or code of conduct. I have explained this in my latest reply to them.

Please can you assust in any way?

The email communication is coming from "cdoc@microsoft.com".

    Hi Ap2003,

You're not alone here. This seems to be a standard reply text, I got exactly the same.

I've been assisted by many support people from different product groups, but they all get the same answer from the compliance team and that is exactly the same message as in the email.

For me it's been 21 days already. I did not send, share, post or host any bad or malicious content, which are basically the rules in de Code of Conduct. I'm a paying customer of both consumer (Onedrive) and business services (MSDN subscription, Azure subscription, Skype Number, Certifications etc.) through my Microsoft Account. It's unreal how terrible this customer service is.

It's been a good lesson, though, that you cannot trust Cloud Platforms to keep your data safe. They will just lock you out of digital life and not tell you why or how to get it back.

Good luck to all in here.

    Hi MS Community

    Brief update on my case.

Day #56 after my compliance lock. I filled a form that asked very precise questions about my account. After the form's submission, I was told a specialized team is undertaking an investigation and that shall take a few more weeks. It's ludicrous...

Good luck to all affected by this issue.

    Hi,

Latest update. I got message from Microsoft support. They said I did some serious violation and account locked permanently.

Now, I have to ask my family member to stop using onedrive and put back on local drive. We never know when it will happen to other account.

There are no detail of the locked. I am not sure due to malware script saved inside one of the sub folder, as i work as IT security and save a lot of evidence files.

At least, any problem can be sorted out if detail provided.

    TQ
