My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.

I get the following message when I try and log in:

Your account has been locked.

We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

Unlocking your account

To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.

I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:

This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.

We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.

All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.

Sincerely

Microsoft Customer Protection

I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

I have had the exact same thing happen to me.  No One seems to know anything on fixing or letting you know the status.  I am faced with having to get a new Microsoft account and start all over again.

I have been locked out for 6 days, unbelievable what these giant companies can get away with.  I have provided everything they have asked for.  The support group is useless, they do not communicate with the compliance group.

I guess you get another and do it again.

In england we dont have anything like Bbb .  Your very lucky .  I have been waiting for over 3 months . Havent had any reply for probably 2 months now.

I'm trying to get my sons account unlocked in the UK. Did you have any luck?

I've just replied to their email with the below but looking at Watchdog and any other UK bodies:

    Hi,

We are based in the UK and have trading laws that must be respected. I’ll take it forwards with our Trading Standards as there are a lot of digital licence purchases on his account. Microsoft withholding access and not providing a valid reason as to why must surely be in breach of our UK laws.

    Thanks
