Microsoft (Hotmail) Account Locked (Compliance Lock)

My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.

I get the following message when I try and log in:

Your account has been locked.

We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

Unlocking your account

To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.

I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:

This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.

We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.

All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.

Sincerely

Microsoft Customer Protection

I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

Welcome to the club. I'm waiting now for 96 days. At the 100th day I'll host a party to celebrate Microsoft's efficiency. \o/

I think it’s time to start sending the big guy Satya Nadella (satyan@microsoft.com) some emails. The articles online are pretty impressive how he has turned Microsoft around and I’m sure he does not even know this is happening.

"This is ridiculous. They accuse me of a serious violation, won't tell me what it is, and then proceed to permanently lock the account. There is no recourse! I cannot at least retrieve any important emails or files from my OneDrive.

It's like being charged by the police, convicted by a judge, and going to jail without knowing the charges and not having a trial"

That's exactly what they're doing, and unfortunately we all accepted to be treated this way when checked the "Accept terms and conditions" box without reading it. It's crazy and I feel naive for trusting my digital life to this organization.
