My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.
I get the following message when I try and log in:
Your account has been locked.
We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.
Unlocking your account
To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.
I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:
This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.
We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.
All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.
Sincerely
Microsoft Customer Protection
I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

I tried this route, but I didn't have any help in the end. They told me that since the original account compromised wasn't a Business account, they could do nothing about it. I'm not surprised. I had this Microsoft account for more than 20years without any problems, so I was using it without safety measures - hard copies. I have my share of fault. Anyway, since I was paying Office/Onedrive subscription, I really thought I would have some kind of assistance as in any paid service around. I'm really disappointed with Microsoft, and I'll never be able to use any of their products after this betrayal.
So have I..... Someone needs to step up and make Microsoft accountable!!!!!!
Good luck, I gave up.
So sad never heard anything, it has been six months.
Hi
Thank you for the insight
I'll try it using the business account route.
If it's possible, please let me know your escalation teams/ maybe this will be helpful for me.
I just opened the business account for this purpose. I hope it's enough.
Thanks
