Microsoft (Hotmail) Account Locked (Compliance Lock)

My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.

I get the following message when I try and log in:

Your account has been locked.

We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.

Unlocking your account

To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.

I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:

This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.

We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.

All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.

Sincerely

Microsoft Customer Protection

I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

    Same issue.

My account is locked and I have not heard anything back from Microsoft.

I have tried to call, send mails, chat. Nobody at microsoft seems to be able to help, the department handling this cannot be reached by anyone, even within microsoft.

I'm the original poster of this thread. In the end, I gave up on ever getting ti resolved.

Recently created a new Outlook account and moved on.

I'll be using my Google drive instead of the OneDrive.

    Microsoft sucks.

My account has been under Compliance lock for almost a month now, i filled out the compliance lock form febraury 28th, still no response, ive also tried to have it escalated, provided detail after detail about me and previous consoles  and ip address to track years of gaming on my account ,ive been told to  fill the form out again and then told not to,  this is my account of 10 years, ALOT my money and time put into it , and to have the worst response system ive ever experienced  is the worst way microsoft can trest their customers ive went as far as filing a complaint on them through the BBB because i dont know what else to do

Nobody here can help you. This is a users forum. Nobody from Microsoft works here.

Further, if you or your husband did that sync thing from your phone to the One Drive thing, that is probably why you all are locked out now. A lot of people are finding out that this is why their accounts were locked, and Microsoft will then tell you that they legitimately locked your account because of that as whatever information was on your phone was in violation of Microsoft's TOS, and so they will not be giving the account back.
