Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My Microsoft account is locked with Compliance Lock since for 11 days now, with no end in sight.
I get the following message when I try and log in:
Your account has been locked.
We've detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.
Unlocking your account
To unlock your account, you'll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we'll get you to the right place.
I have completed the Account Reinstatement form ((https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement)) and got this reply:
This is an automated message to let you know we have received your inquiry regarding your Microsoft account. Your request number is xxxxxxxxx and we will get back to you as soon as we are able. Please do not submit additional requests as this will add additional volume and only slow our response.
We sincerely apologize for this delay as we know this means you may not have access to your account. We are working to resolve your case and will update you as soon as we have additional information.
All duplicate requests will be closed and responses will be sent on the original escalation.
Sincerely
Microsoft Customer Protection
I still haven't heard back. I can't access my email/contacts/calendar/OneDrive and it's very frustrating. I have important emails I cannot access. There is supposed to be contact within 24 hours – it is now 11 days!

Hi,
If you're experiencing a different issue or error as the original poster, I would encourage you that you post a new thread here.
This is to avoid confusion in the thread.
Thanks.
Hi KanataSparxx.
I apologize if I have done something wrong here, if you include me in “You Guys”. I just tried to assist those on this thread, who hadn’t been addressed by MS agent/moderator. Also, the moderator has the power to split a thread to better suit the case.
As to the form you are referring to, it was the same kind of document that my son filled out yesterday. It started with him wanting to recover a password but ended up in an account recovery. So if the objective is to unlock/ recover an account we can’t be that wrong, unless the agent/moderator has a different opinion.
Best regards
Janne
You guys are confusing this thread. This about a Compliance Lock that is not being resolved by Microsoft. There was a alleged violation of the Terms of Service.
There is only one form to complete (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/concern/AccountReinstatement) and wait....you're at the mercy of Microsoft to reply when they do.
There are other threads about recovering an looked account if you forgot the password.
Hi Janne
I was about to reply to you. The way you described matches what the Microsoft Agent told me in the phone.
He said they would send me a form to an alternative email account (not the one locked) where I should answer as accurate as possible a series of questions. I'm waiting for his email now while replying the community. Hopefully I'll be able to confirm your method! :)
