How do I remove the Teams meeting link from a calendar invite?!

I purposefully made sure that it was not toggled on. It is for an external meeting so we have to use zoom instead of teams as everyone doesn't have access to teams. When I made an edit to the attendee list it automatically added in a Teams link. I can't remove it and I've searched and searched for a way to remove it. Please help!

Hello Jane,

You can simply click on the Description field and press Ctrl + A to select and then delete Teams meeting link, then use the Zoom meeting Add-ins to insert a link for Zoom meeting and click Send, when the attendees receive the updated meeting invitation email, this meeting will display as a Zoom meeting rather than Teams meeting on their calendar.     Since people creating invites are seeing a Teams Meeting toggle switch to add it to an invitation, it seems they are also expecting to find the same toggle switch to be available when they edit the invitation to remove it. That was my expectation and source of my confusion and why I searched and found this discussion. Heavy sigh.

    Does this work when you have already issue the diary invitation? I have realised an automatic Microsoft team link has been added to my diary invite, though we will be using zoom on this occasion. I have since updated the diary invite by selecting and deleting the Teams meeting link. However, it's still gives people the option to 'join' via teams. Can you let me know how to fix this? I should also mention these invitations are being issued from a shared mailbox/calendar so not my own calendar.

    This is the answer!!! Hopefully, Microsoft doesn't get rid of it with the new outlook that is adopting most web outlook features...

    This web page explains how to remove the Teams link -- you need to use the full outlook app, not Outlook Online, as far as I can see, but it worked for me.

    This definitely falls under the category of, “I shouldn’t have to ask them to fix this. It’s just bad.” Isn’t this driving their own employees nuts? Even the fact that there’s a list of things you have to “try” is ridiculous. If adding is easy, removing should be just as easy. Boom. It’s not rocket science.
