Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
The data app internal folder on my Galaxy S9 is in MyFiles/internal storage/Android/data/com.microsoft.office.outlook/
But it's empty and that's with the hidden OS files turned on....

Hello,
I'm not the first one I think to ask this question, but I cannot find any satisfactory answer - Is their any way to control the space used by the Outlook Android App?
I just removed the account the App was linked to this morning : it was going up to 1.2 G - managing 01 Email account - linked to 01 cloud.
Gmail app - to which 2 Emails account (same one and one other) are linked is using Gmail for a total space of 258 MB - and access to data, including files enclosed to the email, is as fast as with outlook app.
Even if I would like to keep going using Outlook app - it seams just to be impossible to use until the question is solved.
Hope Outlook developer will one day find the way around this question - or at least to allow to switch most of the data on the SD card.

Hi Mike,
The point is that it makes no difference whether Mobile or WiFi (it's just that the effect hits some people when they receive an unexpected high Mobile bill). Outlook is doing strange things in the night! This morning my Outlook has increased user Data by another 3 Gigabytes (15.35 GB in total). Only some additions to my inbox but nothing unusual. Total phone storage now approaching 99% - have to restart soon again I guess.
Good morning- sorry I misunderstood your point. I thought there might be some significance that the background data xfer was via mobile even though wifi was available.
in the last four hours my storage has jumped from 2.8G to 4.3G - so that's close to the limit for this phone....
Still only routine questions from M$... nothing that feels like an incipient fix.

Hi
I have the very same space problem with Outlook for Android. I use the outlook client to manage my Gmail account as I prefer it to the google client. Did anyone manage to find a permanent fix please? If not I may consider reverting back to the google default. Thanks

I have not found any solution. For the last 10 days my Outlook problem seems to have somewhat stabilised - that is, it hasn't caused my system to hit the 64 GIGA /100% usage limit. It gets near the limit then backs off. The Outlook User Data has jumped around from 332 Megabytes to a sudden 14.2 GIGA bytes, the down a few GIGA then back up to 15.35 GIGA, down to 10,02 GIGA, then suddenly way down to 307 MEGA, then a couple of days staying about 6 GIGA, down to 4 GIGA and today back up to 13.1 GIGA. All I do is check a few e-mails. Most of my heavy stuff - e-mail replies and attachments I do using my PC. Outlook on Android just seems to do its own thing at random. Crazy.
