Outlook - Android - Storage Use

Hello,

I'm not the first one I think to ask this question, but I cannot find any satisfactory answer - Is their any way to control the space  used by the Outlook Android App?

I just removed the account the App was linked to this morning : it was going up to 1.2 G - managing 01 Email account - linked to 01 cloud.

Gmail app - to which 2 Emails account (same one and one other) are linked is using Gmail for a total space of 258 MB - and access to data, including files enclosed to the email, is as fast as with outlook app.

Even if I would like to keep going using Outlook app - it seams just to be impossible to use until the question is solved.

Hope Outlook developer will one day find the way around this question - or at least to allow to switch most of the data on the SD card.

I have the same issue. But I'm not using IMAP, just 3 accounts with lots of attachments and pictures. Submitted bug report. Hoping for a solution.

I have exactly the same issue using Outlook under Android 10. As a consequence I've just uninstalled it and will continue to rely on Gmail. Prior to discovering that Outlook was the cause of me running out of space I scrapped my previous phone and bought one with a larger storage capacity. Unfortunately the issue still persists and has been ongoing for several months. Microsoft really needs to get its act together and sort out this issue.

You should sue Microsoft for the cost of your new phone (just joking).

I have to delete my User Storage every 3-5 days and then re-add my IMAP account. I reset yesterday when the User Storage reached16+GB, the phone memory was100% and most apps stopped working. Today Outlook User Storage is just a few hundred MB. It will explode again soon. I keep complaining to MS support. They say it is a known problem but no date for a fix. Don't hold your breath.

Same problem here. Had it a couple of time last autumn. Did not occur for some month now until yesterday. Using Pixel 3a and 4 IMAP accounts. This is really an annoying bug. Thanks for pushing. Going to file a report.

Update: I've received a reply form MS support, stating they are aware of the problem and working it with no ETA. They also said others have reported the same. So good on you all for submitting if you have, and for those with this problem that have not, please continue to submit the support request as well. Consider also a review on the Google Play store noting this. The more pressure we keep on it, the more likely we'll all benefit from a fix.
