Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
I have the same problem on a Samung Galaxy S10.
My Outlook is currently at 30GB!!!! and Android gets me the message that there are too many files...
Wifi and other apps don't work any more...
How can I delete the temporary files without having to reinstall all my accounts?
I have started to keep a record of the storage use.
Date App Size User Data Cache Total
17-Dec 199 425 1.4 625.4
18-Dec 264 272 1.29 538
Sizes in MB
Action on 17/12: Clear Outlook Storage, Power On/Off, Re-install Account
I reset yesterday after Outlook got to 14GB and I ran out of space. Funny thing: today App size is larger, User date is lower.
I expect by this time next week I will again be at 14GB and have to reset again. I will then post the daily data.
Outlook has worked for at least a year up to now with no problems. Only since about a month has it started suddenly expanding the storage.
I have a Google Pixel with 64GB.
**This morning (20th Dec) Outlook showing an amazing 16.34 GB user data!**Mobile storage at 100%. What does it do during the night???
So, once again:
> Clear Outlook Storage (takes some minutes to get down to zero).
> Power off/on. Mobile now shows storage at 46% (29.63 GB used).
> Start Outlook and add my IMAP account again. Luckily it seems to have remembered the IMAP port and server settings.
Now wait three to four days until it happens again. Talk about a pain in the a...! Is this a Microsft problem? I am thinking that I really have to drop Outlook 365 on my mobile.
