Outlook - Android - Storage Use

Hello,

I'm not the first one I think to ask this question, but I cannot find any satisfactory answer - Is their any way to control the space  used by the Outlook Android App?

I just removed the account the App was linked to this morning : it was going up to 1.2 G - managing 01 Email account - linked to 01 cloud.

Gmail app - to which 2 Emails account (same one and one other) are linked is using Gmail for a total space of 258 MB - and access to data, including files enclosed to the email, is as fast as with outlook app.

Even if I would like to keep going using Outlook app - it seams just to be impossible to use until the question is solved.

Hope Outlook developer will one day find the way around this question - or at least to allow to switch most of the data on the SD card.

My optimism of yesterday that the current version might be fixed was misplaced.  Clearly still a problem.  I hope MS deliver on their promise to me of a fix... even if there is no ETA for it yet.

    Regards

Thanks for you guys persisting. I have exactly the same problem. Mine crashes at about 15GB app data after about 3 days. Have to keep deletining the app and reinstalling to keep it going.

Something a little more positive now:

Hi Mike, I am sorry again that you’re affected by this issue. We have reported this to our Engineering Team and we’re adding your ticket to the report.

The Team is now working on this issue and I hope that a solution will be available soon.

We do not have an ETA on when this will get fixed, but please keep your app up to date as the fix will be released through the future versions of the app.

I will be closing the ticket. But we will try to message you if we get an update about the issue or to check the status of the issue on your end even if the ticket is closed.

But if you have other questions/concerns, please do let us know anytime.

I also notice that the app seems to have been updated since I last added the problem account.  I don't know if this is co-incidence.. it probably is.  The version I'm running now is 4.2101.0, whereas the version that was giving me the problems was 4.2048.4 (and I'm assuming these are version numbers!)

I might reload the second account and see how it goes.

    M

Nothing significant - save the support team in the app want me to post a video of the phone screen when the OS crashes.  As this normally happens sometime overnight, which I've explained, this doesn't seem that easy a task for me to do to help MS sort their problem out.

    Am I missing something?

    Sorry to hear that.

I got this message from the in-app support today.  Seems at last to be acknowledgement of some problem....

I'll post here when anything significant happens.
