Outlook - Android - Storage Use

Hello,

I'm not the first one I think to ask this question, but I cannot find any satisfactory answer - Is their any way to control the space  used by the Outlook Android App?

I just removed the account the App was linked to this morning : it was going up to 1.2 G - managing 01 Email account - linked to 01 cloud.

Gmail app - to which 2 Emails account (same one and one other) are linked is using Gmail for a total space of 258 MB - and access to data, including files enclosed to the email, is as fast as with outlook app.

Even if I would like to keep going using Outlook app - it seams just to be impossible to use until the question is solved.

Hope Outlook developer will one day find the way around this question - or at least to allow to switch most of the data on the SD card.

    Just getting in on the action here.  I'm having the same issue.  Samsung Galaxy S10.  26GB space used by Outlook with 2 IMAP accounts.  Delete data chips away a little then the phone crashes.  I have to hit delete data, then back out of the screen I'm on to avoid a crash.  It only deletes a fraction of what it's using so I've had to repeat many times to delete it all.

    I'm using BlueMail successfully but thought I'd give Outlook another go as it's cleaner.  I'll have to stick with BlueMail for now.

    I've been complaining about the data bloating and other IMAP issues since September 2020 with no resolution. All I get is the standard, "we are aware but an ETA is not yet known". For an enterprise company on one of their premier products, this is embarrassing.

    Here are the bugs I've been reporting for over 6 months:

    1). The Data files grow continuously until the file system is full, crashing the device. The only remedy is to delete all data, removing or resetting the account has no effect on the Data files.

    2). The app crashes when I use the “Mark as Spam” function for IMAP accounts.

    3). There is no button to empty the Junk folder in IMAP accounts.

    4). The “Load More” button appears in many folders whether there are no messages or it is properly synced.

    5). Deleted and Junk folders for IMAP accounts do not sync when they are empty and you click on the “Load More” button.

    6). Messages in folders for Deleted Items and Junk for IMAP accounts do not appear in the combined inbox.

    I have the same issue. But I'm not using IMAP, just 3 accounts with lots of attachments and pictures. Submitted bug report. Hoping for a solution.
