I noticed that Outlook did not open automatically in Windows 11 like it should when I rebooted, so I tried to start it manually. That didn't work either. Not even running "outlook /safe" worked.
Am I missing something here?

outlook 365 does not appear to work with windows 11.
A cloud based version seems to work ..
This is getting very confusing when you are 20 years on a pc and new to cloud
Common issue, why MS hasnt fixed this is a head scratcher. Here are a few things to try that have worked for me. (1) get into "Task Manager" and End all tasks with "Outlook" in their name. Now try opening Outlook. (2) Reset Outlook. But you'll have to re-enter all your email account info. (3) Sometimes a simple reboot does the trick. Warning, eventually the problem comes back. Frustrating issue.

I am just so sick and tired of the repeated difficulties I have had trying to open Outlook 365 since installing the system four months ago. The issue occurs every other week.
Please advise a permanent fix. I usually get around the issue but starting Outlook in safe mode but even that doesn't seem to work anymore?

Hi Owen,
I am no computer wizard and have to rely on Microsoft Support. My suggestion is that you contact them and let them work their magic on your pc remotely. It has worked for me more than once with the Outlook problem you describe. My only cautionary word would be that if you have a large list of contacts, make sure that you tell them that you cannot afford to lose it!
More than likely they will re-install the Office Suite and that will delete your contacts list unless you tell them that you don't want to lose it!

Hi Owen, I feel the same way, every time it does it I have to completely sign off when I do a screen pops up and says Outlook is trying to sign off, close anyway? I say yes. it signs off I sign in back on and it works again for whatever time if feels like it until next time which is closer together than before. good luck! I can't deal with their support; it drives me nuts so I will have to deal with the issue.
