Hi,
When logging in to any Microsoft service I receive the message:
Your account has been locked
We’ve detected some activity that violates our Microsoft Services Agreement and have locked your account.
Unlocking your account
To unlock your account, you’ll need some additional assistance. Navigate to "aka.ms/compliancelock" and we’ll get you to the right place.
When I follow the link and fill out the form I received the reply that I violated the Code of Conduct and won't be able to access the services anymore. Any charges to my linked credit card will be stopped.
It does not tell me how I violated the Code of Conduct, nor does it tell me how to reinstate my account, while the form I filled out is called "account reinstatement". It also does not tell me how to retrieve my data.
The form states: "Your account has been suspended for suspicious activity, sending unsolicited emails, or for violating of Microsoft’s Terms of Use agreement, such as hosting photos, video or other content in violation of the Code of Conduct."
I'm pretty sure though I did not send SPAM or hosted/posted/shared inappropriate content. As for suspicious activity, I'm not sure what is included here, but I'm a basic user of the services.
What I would like to know is:
I've called and chatted with support, local and world-wide, for different services, but all are receiving the same answer from the CDOC team, as can be found under ticket number ***removed for privacy***, which I find unacceptable.
It's been 14 days now... Please help!
Regards,

Hi folks,
Unfortunately another one here reporting the same thing- 17+ years of using these accounts and trusting Microsoft (I know, foolish!) with my data and personal information, pictures of family, the kids, work expenses etc. and without warning or explanation......all gone
I have spoken to support team numerous times, filled in numerous forms and still not getting anywhere. No detail on what the violation was and I have read the T&C's over and over but I have broken nothing on there.
I am based in the UK and note that a lot of the legal comeback in forms are based on the US and unsure what direction to go in for someone based in the UK :(
Some accounts have been locked and blocked from somethig as simple as failed password attaempts.
Like the account im trying to get restored...
Microsoft are all a bunch of cowboys we all agree, who are simply trying to control all their loyal hackers undermining their dubious privacy laws. As one department can't have a say or knowledge even in whatever the other department is doing or responding to, then Microsoft employees have to rely on the company script which harks on just how much customer privacy is important to them, so much so that you have already relinquished your data to their servers for them to monitor, You get what you get if you stay inside their box!
No there's nothing for me to catch up on and anyone can post to any thread that they want to in these forums.
I posted a possible solution, you and everyone else are free to do it or not. I care not.
Moving on is an acceptable solution in the circumstances. But hey, if you got the time, energy, and money to waste more power to you. And no, I didn't waste my time reading your reply as it really doesn't matter, since I'm not a Microsoft employee and can do nothing for you except my advice that I've already given, and oh hey, there are NO Microsoft employees that are going to take note of your lengthy posting. So keep going, I'm sure it's great therapy to get things off your chest.
Good luck, you're going to need it!
