News: Mojang, makers of Minecraft, is implementing a change where all current Java Edition accounts are FORCED to be integrated with a Microsoft account, and failure to do so will mean that players will not be allowed to play Minecraft at all. Here is a direct quote:
Now just to be clear, migrating from Mojang to Microsoft accounts ismandatory*. If you don’t make the move, in several months you won’t be able to log in anymore – which means you won’t be able to play either.*
Little does Mojang know, Microsoft is currently in a vicious, tyrannical state where they are taking poor, innocent, voiceless people's accounts with reluctance to say why, shattering the lives of many, and absolutely ignoring people and avoiding the issue (there is no place on Reddit to post this issue without their stupid auto-bots or auto-mods removing it). The Java Edition of Minecraft is the one part of Mojang that is completely free of Microsoft and, unless there is a clearly extreme case, an unfair ban and termination of the accounts. And now Mojang is 100% bending the knee to these megalomaniac losers who despise people who sank thousands into their services.
I'm going to try and address this issue to either Mojang or their community of players, but I don't know if there's going to be any impact because a) I'm not sure where to talk and b) I highly doubt that Microsoft's savagery in terminating accounts is anything in their power or any of their concern. I'm confident that they'll be turning a blind eye to this as well, considering this isn't their responsibility, which pains me to say that's fair. But I'd love to see if they'd at least take notice.
Microsoft is spreading like a virus, starting with the good people using their own services, and then contaminating other massive communities like the WHOLE ENTIRE Minecraft community. It's times like these where, when everything is abhorrent, many of those crises are just ignored. And this is one of them.
Edit: There's already controversy on Reddit, and that's good. Even people who haven't lost their account are against this move on Mojang's part.
