Changing Font on Outlook Mobile App for Android

In 2024 there's still no change. Why is there no possibility to change font? That does not make sense sending different font and size emails when not using the desktop version.

Hi, this is the best workaround I've seen so far, but there are a couple of minor issues:

1. Any new email that is opened has a 'default' new 1st line inserted above the line created by adding a signature. This new default line is in the default font of the app, not the font you selected in the signature (which is now the 2nd line). You have to go to the 2nd line and then backspace back to delete the 'default' 1st line.
2. The lines inserted by the signature are indented by a couple of keystrokes so they're not aligned with the left margin.

This might just be the way that I inserted text from a signature, and it's workable, but involves a few extra steps to set up the email.

Well, there is no such option to change the font. However, there is a workaround for this. But for that, you should have Microsoft Word installed on your smartphone. Obviously, in most of the cases, we usually don't require formatted texts in emails. However, meticulously drafted emails requires so, and the effort that I am about to tell seems to be justified until the in-built text formatting features are not available in the app itself.

What you are required to do is, draft your email in a new word document on the phone. Then do the necessary changes that you require with the text, for example, make the text justified if you wanted in your email. Similarly, add line spacing and do other necessary paragraph formatting.

Then copy the whole text. And head back to the outlook app. Compose a new mail, and in the main text area, paste the document. Make sure that the text is already formatted for final sending. It isn't advised to change the font and other things in the outlook app. Do it in word itself. After pasting in the main body of the email, you will get the desired formatted text. Voila!

If Microsoft is deliberately withholding this text formatting feature in Outlook app for making users to buy the subscription, I really wish that they don't read my text. LMAO

There is no option but you do hack by using signature. Choose the font you needed and put in the top of your signature and start writing in between.

Example

Signature is

Name

Adresss.

Ajjhdkdld

Then

Pase you font any word here it will take same color and font available.

Name

Adresss.

TIMES NEW ROMAN???!!? What kind of silly old man wants to use a serif font for screen reading?! Do you hate the people you're sending email to? If I received an email from somebody stupid enough to use times new Roman, I would create a new rule on my exchange server to bounce every single email they send me because I'm not going to look at serif fonts on a screen. It's the dumbest thing a person can do. I just installed Outlook on my phone and I'm trying to figure out how to remove times new Roman. For some reason, Outlook on my phone is using a serif font but nothing else is. Even the subject line of the email is Calibri but the body of the email is times new Roman? What is going on there? Nowhere else on the entire phone do I see a serif font except for the body of the email and the outlook app. This is broken and needs to be fixed. SERIF FONTS DO NOT BELONG ON THE SCREEN!
